
Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (born July 9th, 1956) is an American actor and filmmaker. Famous for his dramatic and comedic roles, he's one of the most well-known and well-known film stars around the world and is widely regarded as an American iconic cultural figure. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was a Concord, California native to Janet Marylyn Hanks, a hospital worker and Amos Mefford Hanks an itinerant cook. The family of his mother, initially named "Fraga" and was 100% Portuguese, while his father was of predominantly English origins. Tom grew up in what he described as a "fractured" family. He had no acting experience during his college. This is what made to launch his career. He was a part of the auditions in downtown Cleveland for a community theater production. Then, he was invited to Cleveland by the director. This is where his acting career began.
